Pilot VR Classroom Instruction Lending Program: About the Program

20 Lenovo Mirage Solo Headsets

• VR Headsets are only available for use inside the Addlestone Library.
• Proposal submissions will be evaluated and approved by the VR Library Instruction proposal review panel.
• Proposals must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the requested use date(s).
• A librarian will be present during the session(s) to assist.

After submitting your proposal, you will be notified of the review panel's decision within 24-48 hours. 

If your proposal is approved and you would like to test a headset, please schedule an appointment with Elena Rodriguez. If there is not a time that fits with your schedule, please email etrodrig@cofc.edu directly. This appointment can be used to feel more comfortable with the headset or to test apps to ensure they function appropriately for your class. 

Plan for two sessions:

• The first of your two sessions will require a librarian led orientation to the headsets which will take about 30 minutes. The remainder of this class period can be used to acquaint students to specific apps to your class and instruction. 
• The second of the two sessions will be completely dedicated to your instruction needs. A librarian will be present to assist and troubleshoot. 

Students will work in pairs so that all students have a spotter while wearing a headset.
