Marlene & Nathan Addlestone Library

The Marlene & Nathan Addlestone Library is the main library at the College of Charleston and is also home to Special Collections, the South Carolina Historical Society Archives, the Center for Student Learning, the main campus computer lab, podcast studios, digital project workstations, and Starbucks.

The Access & Instruction Desk on the first floor of Addlestone Library is the main service point for circulation, interlibrary loan, research, wifi, printing, and computing assistance.

Access to Addlestone Library

CofC Community and Designated Affiliates

The following groups may use Addlestone Library during regular opening hours:

  • CofC students, faculty, and staff (Cougar Card required)
  • CofC alumni (alumni card required)
  • CofC Friends of the Library (FOL card required)
  • PASCAL visiting patrons (PASCAL institution ID required)
  • Those with appointments for services offered in the library (appointment email required)

Visitor Hours

Addlestone Library is open to the public from Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Visitors must present a government-issued ID and register at the entrance desk.
