The Discovery Service searches our print collection and also many online databases, all at the same time. If you want to find plays in print, do a search and then select Print/Physical from the filters to the left of your results.
Search tip: If you don't have a specific title/author in mind, it can be tricky to narrow your results down to plays. Use an Advanced Search, and on the second line change Any Field to Subject, and type in drama. This will show you items in the catalog that are categorized under Drama.
Books in the collection are shelved based on their subject (Library of Congress classification). This means books on similar topics can often be found together. Once you've found one interesting thing, it is worth browsing nearby to see if anything else catches your eye.
Some anthologies and collections can be found in the call number range PN6110.5 through PN6120. Many more are scattered across the broader literature collection (still in the Ps), which is generally arranged based on an author's geographic/ethnic heritage (e.g. British literature, American literature).
Searches thousands of plays written in or translated into English, from Antiquity to the present. Includes mysteries, pageants, plays in verse, puppet performances, radio and television plays, and classic drama.
