New in 2024, the College of Charleston Libraries have signed a 3-year Read & Publish license with Springer Nature, which provides CofC affiliated authors and researchers a way to publish open access in over two thousand Springer hybrid journals.
As of Oct 1, 2024, the Carolina Consortium has approved approximately 304 Springer Nature open-access publishing vouchers. There are approximately 218 vouchers remaining for 2024.
Open access publishing with Springer Nature is available through a first-come, first-serve voucher system for all Carolina Consortium member libraries who have signed onto the deal. The expected number of vouchers available to Carolina Consortium member libraries for 2024 is 522 total.
