Lowcountry Digital History Initiative
The LDHI hosts exhibits on College related topics, : e.g., Avery and Stono Preserve, Other exhibits contain a wealth of social history, African American history, and other sources that can be helpful on socoal movements that influenced C of C,. For example, the Exhibit on the Polltizer sisters mentions Mabel Pollitzer and her work to open the College of Charleston to women. Other lowcountry and Charleston topics include labor history (Cigar Factory), desegregation of Charleston County Schools, activist and Avery graduate Septima Clark, Las Voces del Lowcountry, and more.
