LIBR 105 Resources for Research
An annotated bibliography is the signature assignment used to assess LIBR 105. At the end of the Spring 2015 semester, six random samples of the 51 submitted signature assignments from the two offered sections of LIBR 105 were read and scored by librarians who had not taught the course using a scale from 1 (not meeting expectations) to 4 (meeting all expectations). The goal was to have at least 70% of assessed samples to receive a score of 3.0 or better in order to determine whether or not the learning outcomes were met and to provide a measure of success. All six samples received a score of three or better (see results below). These scores indicate that the learning outcomes designated for this phase of assessment were met. In accordance with our three year assessment cycle, we will use the 2015-2016 academic year to reflect on what learning outcomes we would next like to measure and to plan for a means of assessment.
